Thousands of Jews Celebrated Israel Independence Day in Moscow - and Show Solidarity with Israel

More than 5,000 Moscow Jews took part in an Israeli Independence Day celebration and solidarity rally for Israel this week organized by the Jewish Agency in Moscow’s Olympic stadium. Before the start of the festivities, the Jewish Agency held a gigantic aliyah fair, at which representatives of local and municipal authorities, institutions of higher learning, and companies presented potential olim with absorption opportunities in Israel. Participants included representatives of the Beersheva, Eilat, Ashkelon, Kiryat Gat, Mitzpeh Ramon, and Netivot authorities as well as of Ben Gurion University, Beersheva Technological College, Sapir Technological College, the Adirim metal plant, and many other institutions.
