Board of Governors Meeting - 06.28.2011


Chairman Richard Stone opened the June 28, 2011 NCSJ Board of Governors meeting in Washington, D.C., welcoming Board members, ambassadors, diplomats and other guests.

His Excellency Temuri Yakobashvili, Ambassador of the Republic of Georgia to the United States, discussed his country's relations with its neighbors and with Israel.


The Department of State's Hannah Rosenthal, U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, reported on the state of anti-Semitism in the FSU and Europe.

Don Horwitz, Executive Director of United Global Charities, discussed his organization's programs for Jewish children in need in the FSU.


Melanie Nezer, a Senior Director at HIAS and Stephan Kline, an Associate Vice President at JFNA, discussed the Jewish community's efforts to reauthorize the Lautenberg Amendment.
