Moscow Bureau for Human Rights 

Moscow Bureau for Human Rights is going to create a youth anti-Fascist group 

Human rights defenders from the Moscow bureau for human rights (MBHR) decided to create a youth anti-Fascist group to counteract xenophobia in Russia. 

“We decided to initiate the creating of youth anti-Fascist group with an aim of neo-Fascism and xenophobia precaution among the youth”, - the MBHR director Alexander Brod said in an interview to “Interfax” on Tuesday. 

MBHR is supported by the European Union and specializes on the monitoring of xenophobia and ethno-extremism issues in Russia. 

A.Brod told that the new group will unite about 20 regional youth human rights organizations. “We would like to cooperate with youth wings of “Yabloko” and SPS, with other sane youth democracy forces”, - A.Brod said. 

“We hope to conduct the first conference with participation of youth human rights anti-Fascist organizations in November and to develop a program of actions”, - he noted. 

A.Brod said that Maxim Yefimov, leader of the youth anti-Fascist center in Karelia, was offered to head the new group. 

“The main ascent of the group’s work will be the reacting on xenophobia, neo-Nazism, anti-Semitism issues. We plan to publish anti-Fascist literature, educate the youth through seminars and trainings on anti-Fascist topics”, - A.Brod said.
