December “ ”, 2005 Kyiv

Chairman of Executive Committee

Mr. Joel M. SCHINDLER

Mr. Mark B. LEVIN

Advocates on behalf of Jews in Russia, Ukraine,
the Baltic States and Eurasia
Washington D.C.

Please accept my sincere gratitude for your support of Ukraine and your great efforts in restoring justice with respect to our country.
Your personal contribution helped secure the decision of the U.S. Senate to terminate the application of the Jackson-Vanik amendment with regard to Ukraine. Taking into consideration the strong support voiced by the White House, last but probably the most important step to be taken is to enlist the House's support on this matter. I hope that the House of Representatives will take a similar decision shortly.
Let me thank you once again for your contribution to removing this Cold War relic from the Ukrainian-US bilateral agenda, and wish you all the best and every success in your activities.

Sincerely yours,
[signed]
Borys TARASYUK
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine
