Israeli envoy back in Old World
(JTA) -- Israel returned its ambassador to Belarus. Ze'ev Ben-Arieh, who was Israel's ambassador in Minsk until last year, handed his credentials to authorities in the former Soviet republic on Dec. 24. Israel closed its diplomatic mission in Minsk last year, along with a number of other embassies, citing budgetary issues.
